Welcome to Ames United Methodist Church. I grew up here. I went to Stone Elementary School across the street. After a thirty-three year absence I returned here in 1997 as pastor. Welcome to my church. More accurately, welome to God's church where I pastor.

Our mission is "To bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to nurture people to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ."

We believe that Jesus Christ is the best hope for our city, neighborhood, family, and own personal life to prosper. At the heart of our mission is a four-step curriculum taking a person through salvation, discipleship, Holy Spirit gifting and filling, and discovering and moving out in our gifting to fulfill God's purpose for our lives. Only then are we truly fulfilled.

I have never enjoyed ministry as much as these past few years. It is energizing and fun. If you want to come check us out, that's great. But check out who God is, that's the greatest!
