Spiritual
Growth Pastor, Doug Hasse The Leadership Classes 101-401 are designed to guide people into a deeper relationship with Christ, transform lives, and teach the spreading of the Gospel. All those wishing to be leaders at Ames are required to take these classes; before we can lead, we need to grow in our own lives.
These classes are offered periodically at varying times in order to give you more flexibility to attend regardless of your schedule. For more exact dates and times, see the Upcoming Events page or contact the church.
101: Salvation and Membership
This class introduces people to the history and beliefs of the United Methodist Church. It also goes over the biblical reasons for what we believe. This is a class that is taken for becoming a member of Ames.
201: Experiencing Spiritual Maturity
This class leads people into a life of maturing in their Christian walk. We talk about forming good spiritual habits and learning to live a disciplined Christian life. We talk about personal devotions and prayer and allowing the Holy Spirit to fill your entire life. This class also talks about tithing and the importance of small group accountability in our Christian walk.
301: Exploring Personal Ministry
This class explores our personal call from God. You will discover what, why, and how your gifts and passions will lead you into the ministry for which God has created you. This is a class that requires you to be totally honest with yourself and God in order to realize why you were created. Upon completion of this class there will be a personal ministry interview with a ministry leader.
401: Exploring My Profile
This class explores our ministry and life outside the local church. Each one of us has a personal mission field that we live in and we will influence people around us on a daily basis. We will discover that we need each other in a deeper commitment in our Christian walk. |
